Hello? Is anyone out there? No? ...

Oh Hai! ... yes, I'm still alive. But Hey! I changed my username It's the name i've adopted for 'around the interwebs', I use it on Raverly (a fiber/knit/crochet community) and something similar on Instagram. I've been debating for a while if I should change it.

I know haven't been around much, or doing much in the way of art. I won't fill your heads with grandeur of me returning and doing art all the time and being around a lot because honestly... who knows. It might be another year before I post something; it might also be a week. Every so often I have the great intention of doing more art and being more active on dA again but I always end up ... not. So I won't try to say "I'm going to be around all the time and do art every day!" because, let's face it, that would be a blatant lie. And I rather like my pants to not be on fire. 

SO! Yeah, I'm still around and, yeah, I'll try and post more. I do check my notifications every so often ^_^

Lifestuffs: I'm still working my awesauce job! It's been two years now and I'm still loving it! That being said it is quite exhausting. About six weeks ago I hurt myself and was laid up for a couple of weeks (don't lose track of your spacial awareness while walking down stairs... it's never pretty and gravity is a vicious mistress). I'm all better now.. well, maybe something like 95% better. I've been doing more fiber art stuff, I got my spinning wheel back out after about a 9 month hiatus and I'm having a BLAST! So I'll probably post some pics of the fibery stuff I do. I have been toying with the idea of writing some too but I'd rather not get too ahead of myself. Things that have happened recently, I missed a step and had to get stitches under my toe, my husband and I bought a house (woo!), I have had a renewed interest in creating things. So that about wraps that up.

The New Year has arrived! And my life is finally starting to settle. Some of you may, or may not, vaguely remember that The last several years I was working a lot of hours at a job I didn't care for while either going to school or trying to run a business. 2015 brought the tides of change; and change things did! I applied for and was accepted into my dream job. I get to be a massage therapist working for someone else, doing therapeutic massage like I wanted to do. I don't have to worry about paperwork, or client recruitment or advertising. I come in when I'm scheduled and have a a fair amount of control over my schedule as well. This business has 10 therapists and a learning culture built into its structure. While I work less hours than I did at my other job I am more exhausted. I am okay with this! It is a rewarding feeling at the end of the day that I have accomplished something and made a difference in people's lives.

Now that I am sleeping well and working a job that I absolutely love, however, my anxieties have skyrocketed. I'm making a forceful return into art and craft to try and deal with my depression/anxiety mix. I may not always be drawing either! For Christmas my husband, who knows just how to spoil me rotten, gave me a spinning wheel! Over the last year I have started getting involved in more fiber crafties, crochet, knit and hand spinning. It is likely I will be posting some of those things as well.

One of my goals is to reorganize and redesign my gallery, some art will be brought down. I have been contemplating changing my username but I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

I still haven't gotten back into using dA as much as I used to... but I am on Instagram if anybody is interested!

I realize I have been gone for about 4 months

Not that I was around much before that XD

I realize I don't have a big following, and I'm okay with that lol, and that I post so infrequently that you never know when I'll be around. I feel I at least owe it to you, my friends, to explain what's been going on.

I have not drawn a single thing in over 4 months. Nothing at all.

So here's what's been going on:

March 17th, St. Patrick's day- I had to put my 9yr old dog to sleep. She got very sick very, very quickly and there wasn't anything we could do that would make her better. I was not going to let her suffer even though it truly broke my heart.

March, sometime in the last week- found out we were moving and had 1 week to pack up and move. We got most of our things packed in 1 week and were able to finish the rest later. Finally completely moved out after a month. Due to complications were not able to put the house on the market for 3 months. Have been throwing money at a mortgage and a lease.

Business-If you didnt' know already I have my own business. And in the last couple of months it has become a bit more busy, which is awesome, but less time for art and crafties.

Personal- I have been fighting a downward spiral since I had to make the decision to put my dog to sleep. I didn't realize it at first. I always forget I have people to talk to all around. I let it build up and build up and eventually there is nowhere to go but down. But I was finally able to get a lot off my chest and changes (awesome amazing changes) are going to start being put into place. Will I be less busy? No way. Will I be happier? Very much yes.

Other stuff- I did pick up crocheting, because Lord knows I need another hobby... [sarcasm]. The part about crochet that is amazing is that I can relax and it helps me to wind down from the stress.

I make no promises but I'm hoping that as things settle down in the next month or two that I can start getting back into my artwork.

I've decided to try to do the 100 themes challenge!

I also decided to draw something every day. I won't do something every day from the following list but if I get stuck on what to draw I will start from the top and go down the list.
As I finish a theme I will post the drawing to the list
